Editorial policy: how BrndTst writes, checks and corrects its pages

BrndTst publishes guides to help businesses handle company funds, cash flow and fundraising more safely. This policy sets out the rules we follow to keep those pages accurate, fair and independent, and what to do if you think we've got something wrong.

Where does BrndTst get its facts?

We get our facts from primary sources: regulators' and governments' own publications, official guidance, laws and regulations, and company filings. We don't rely on press releases, marketing material or other websites' summaries when the original is available, and we avoid statistics that have no traceable source.

  • We point readers to the kinds of official records they can check for themselves, rather than to one country's regulator.
  • We don't describe a firm as licensed or regulated unless we've confirmed it on an official register.
  • If we can't confirm a fact from a reliable source, we don't publish it.

How is each page checked before it goes live?

Every page is checked against its sources before it goes live. Each figure, rule and claim must match a primary source, and the page is read again for accuracy, clarity and balance before we publish it. Where a page discusses risk, we check that the risk is described plainly and not played down.

How often are pages reviewed?

We review every page at least every 12 months, and sooner when a rule, official guidance or practice it describes changes. The review date on each page shows when someone last checked it properly. We don't change that date for small edits, such as fixing a typo, so that it stays meaningful.

How do I report a mistake?

Tell us by email, with the page address and what you think is wrong. We check every report against the original source. If we got something wrong, we correct the page and, where the mistake could have affected a decision, add a short note at the bottom saying what changed and when.

Our email address is consulting@thoktent12.click.

We don't quietly edit errors that could have affected someone's decision. Those always get a visible correction note.

Does BrndTst use AI to write its pages?

We may use AI writing tools to help research and draft our pages. A person at BrndTst checks and edits every page before it is published, and we don't publish anything we haven't checked. AI tools are never treated as a source of facts: every figure and claim must be confirmed against a primary source.

Does anyone pay BrndTst to write its pages?

No. No one pays us to write anything, we don't take commissions or referral fees, and we don't publish sponsored content or adverts. BrndTst is paid only by its consulting clients, at a fixed fee agreed in writing, so no product provider or financial firm can influence what our pages say.

Our guides don't recommend specific financial products, investments or firms. Where a guide mentions a type of product, it is to explain how it works, not to suggest that you choose it.
