What does BrndTst do, and what doesn't it do?
BrndTst is a consulting firm for businesses. We help companies set up frameworks, written policies and checks for their funds and cash. We are not a regulated investment adviser. We don't hold or manage client money, recommend specific products, investments or firms, take commissions or referral fees, or promise returns.
- We don't hold your money: your company's funds stay in accounts your company controls.
- We don't recommend products or firms: we help you set the criteria and checks, and your company makes its own choices.
- We're paid only by our clients: a fixed fee agreed in writing in an engagement letter before work starts. No one else pays us.
- We don't give personal investment, tax or legal advice: where your company needs it, take it from a firm or professional authorised to give it.
What are the risks of investing?
Investing always carries risk. The value of an investment can fall as well as rise, and you can get back less than you put in. That is true of company funds too, including money placed in products that look safe. No framework or policy, including ours, removes risk; it can only help you understand and limit it.
- Market risk: prices can fall, sometimes sharply and for a long time.
- Liquidity risk: you may not be able to get your money out when you need it, or only after a delay or at a loss.
- Counterparty and credit risk: a bank, fund, borrower or other firm that holds or owes your money may fail or not pay in full.
- Inflation risk: if your money earns less than prices rise, it buys less over time. Cash held for a long time faces this risk too.
- Concentration risk: putting a large share of your funds with one firm, product or market makes a large loss more likely.
- Currency risk: if you hold money in another currency, changes in exchange rates can reduce its value in your own currency.
Deposit guarantee and investor compensation schemes, where they exist, have limits and conditions, may not cover companies, and never protect you against an investment falling in value.
Are the examples on this website forecasts?
No. Worked examples, figures and scenarios on this website are illustrations that show how an idea works under stated assumptions. They are not forecasts, promises or a guide to what your company will achieve. Real results depend on your circumstances, market conditions and costs, and they can be worse.
Past performance is not a reliable guide to future results.
How should you check a firm before money moves?
Before your company sends money to any firm, check it on the official register of the financial regulator in that firm's country. Go to the regulator's website yourself rather than following a link someone sends you, and check that the firm's name, address, website and permissions match what you've been told.

How can you recognise someone misusing our name?
Fraudsters sometimes copy the name of a real firm. BrndTst never cold-calls anyone to offer investments, never asks you to send money to us or to any account for investment, and never asks for passwords, security codes or remote access to your computer. Anyone who does any of these in our name isn't us.
- We never call, email or message you out of the blue to offer an investment.
- We never ask you to send money to us, or to any account, for investment. The only payments we take are the fees in a signed engagement letter.
- We never ask for passwords, one-time codes or other security details.
- We never ask you to install remote-access software or to share your screen.
- We never promise returns.

Stop, and don't send money or details. Contact us using the email address on our contact page, not a phone number or address given to you by the person who contacted you.
